Board of Directors
NATBI and its Board of Directors have two core principles: 1) to have a positive impact on the community’s economic health by maximizing the success of emerging companies, and 2) to lead the organization as a dynamic model of a sustainable, efficient business operation. Board Members are selected from the northern Arizona community for varying terms on a rotating basis.
Mr. LaVelle McCoy: NATBI Board Chairman. President and CEO, McCoy Motors. Active member of the Board of Directors of GFEC, Flagstaff Chamber of Commerce, and United Way of Northern Arizona University, as well as the past chairman of the Governor’s Small Business Advisory Council.
Ms. Stephanie McKinney: NATBI Executive Treasurer. NATBI member 5 years. President and CEO, Greater Flagstaff Economic Council (GFEC) Arizona’s Governor’s Business Advisory Group, Industrial Development Authority-City of Flagstaff and Coconino County, NAU Advisory Board Member and Rotary of Flagstaff. Formerly served on Arizona Partnership for the New Economy, Battelle Focus Groups for Economic Development, Board of Regents Proposition 301 Advisory Team and Governor’s Statewide Economic Study Leadership council.
Marc Chopin, Ph.D.: NATBI Executive Vice Chairman. Associate Dean College of Business, NAU. Associate Director of an interdisciplinary Center for Entrepreneurship and Information Technology at Louisiana Tech University, past member of the Louisiana Tech University Research Foundation Board; past member of Louisiana Tech University’s Intellectual Property Committee.
Ms. Lucinda Andreani: NATBI Executive Secretary. Special Districts Coordinator, Coconino County. Senior positions at Enron Energy Services, Inc. and Pacific Gas and Electric Company in San Francisco.
Earl Duque Ph.D.: NATBI Representative. Manager Applied Research, Intelligent Light. Previously, founded TecVerde LLC an engineering consultancy specializing in Computational Fluid Dynamics; worked as a research scientist for the Rotorcraft Advanced Computational Methods Group at NASA Ames Research Center.
Stan Lindstedt Ph.D.: NATBI Representative. Associate Dean of Research, NAU. Chair of biology department, University Strategic Planning Council, University Reconstructing Committee and Chair Graduate Admissions Committee:
Mr. John W. McGarity: NATBI Representative. President and CEO, Ethix Associates. President and CEO of Arizona BioIndustry Association. Pharmaceutical experience includes senior management positions with GlaxoSmithKline, Bristol Myers Squibb and Novartis (Sandoz Pharmaceuticals).
Mr. Kevin Nelson Esq.: NATBI Representative. NATBI member 3 years. Attorney, Hufford, Horstman, Monigini, Parnell andTucker, P.C. (HHMPM)Mr.
Craig Snyder: NATBI Representative. Senior Business Relations Manager, Wells Fargo Bank. a 2002 member of the National Business School Honors Society. Formerly served on the Board of Cedar City’s Music Arts; Treasurer of the southern Utah chapter of National Risk Management Association.
Mr. Don Richardson, MBA: NATBI representative. President and CEO, Aspen Communications. ($4 million company). 26 years in the U.S. Navy; Former positions of Telecommunications Manager for the Bureau of Land Management; Director of Technical Support Services and Director of Integrative Medicine for Northern Arizona Healthcare.
